New WordPress & WooCommerce multilingual website for B2B client, Pulsar Instruments

Pulsar Instruments selected Site Scientist to design and build their large-scale, B2B, multi-language eCommerce website.

As a global, independent provider of noise measurement equipment who’ve been established for over 50 years, it was important for us to create a website which exuded Pulsar Instruments’ key messaging of trust and confidence, with a focus on demonstrating their key values of providing great customer care, support, advice and assistance.

Pulsar Instruments provide noise measurement equipment to customers across a variety of industry sectors, including Construction, Healthcare, Education and Hospitality.

Considerations for this project:

A key aspect of the redesign was for the site to have the ability for customers to find and locate products quickly, with a prominent homepage banner and custom product finder, with focus on customer support and providing visitors assistance in choosing products, should they require it.

Building a multi-language website:

With locations in France, Spain and Germany the website had to be fully translated for each country. Whilst being mindful of SEO, we were able to provide a viable solution.

The translations utilise the WPML plugin. We applied custom development and integration to ensure the translations were automatic, so Pulsar Instruments only needed to add content to the English version of the site, with the translations occurring automatically. This useful feature applies for the whole website, not just the eCommerce store and its product-line.

Maintaining a large scale inventory is a feat in itself and having a system that takes care of translations automatically was a welcomed addition.

  • Bespoke and custom B2B eCommerce design
  • Custom code and CSS theme
  • Responsive web design (mobile, tablet, desktop)
  • Custom PHP development
  • Quotation system integration
  • Custom shipping rules for local and international orders
  • Basket & checkout reminder emails
  • Stripe payments integration
  • Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO)
  • SEO services (initial audit & integration with multi-language support)
  • Website migration service
  • Live chat integration
  • GDPR notice integration

The aesthetics:

We used the client’s current logo and product imagery but refreshing the brand colour palette and selected legible, modern typefaces for use across the website.

The new eCommerce website for Pulsar Instruments is content-heavy with a complex but simply managed CMS. It’s easily navigated and fully responsive, working on mobile, tablet and desktop platforms.

This was a comprehensive website which required a broad range of web design and development skill sets, which our experienced team were able to offer.

We’re really pleased with the results and to have received such positive feedback from our happy client, Pulsar Instruments.

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL:

“It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Ben. Designing and
implementing a new website in such a small timescale was a colossal
task, but Ben and his team went above and beyond.

“We are extremely happy with the service Site Scientist provided and we will certainly be using them for any future projects.”
